Five-Day English Afternoon Tea Course
The student will be taught how to prepare a range of recipes which have been selected to illustrate the preparation of a variety of traditional English afternoon tea meals. The programme is designed to provide experience of all the different methods of cake preparation using a wide range of ingredients. Course content includes an introduction into the history of tea, the vocabulary of the subject and related items including antique and vintage crockery and tea-ware. Access to reference material will be freely available and will be referred to throughout the course to illustrate links to social history, literature and art. Also included will be a visit to a local tea room.
Attendance hours 10am until 5pm daily (includes a 1hr lunch break).
Course fee: £580 per person which includes:
30 hours tuition over 5 days

Please note that no meals are included in this course. We can provide details as to a range of eating places within walking distance if required.
