Terms and Conditions
Upon making a booking, a booking form will be sent to you via email.
A booking will only be held for 5 days and will not be confirmed until the completed booking form and cleared funds, amounting to fifty percent (50%) of the course fee, are received by us. The remaining balance must be paid in cash upon presentation of our invoice at the start of the course.
The receipt of your deposit is understood to be your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
In the event of cancellation by you, which must be in writing, the following conditions will apply:
If notice is received 15 or more days before the start date agreed with us, the deposit will be refunded less a £25 administration fee. Where notice is received 14 days or less before the start date agreed, the client will lose the full deposit.
In the event of cancellation by us an alternative date will be offered to you. If it is not possible for you to attend on the alternative date, a full refund will be made to you. We cannot accept responsibility for any consequences or losses resulting from the cancellation by us of any booking made.
If a home-stay has been requested the full amount will be payable upon making the booking and is not refundable in the event of cancellation.
There will be a £25 administration charge payable in respect of a home-stay request, payment of which will be required prior to commencement of us seeking a host family. This administration charge is non-refundable.
If a student requires a home-stay of more than one week then the first week's charge will be payable upon making the booking and is not refundable in the event of cancellation.
For students from overseas, no bookings will be accepted without confirmation that the relevant travel documents, including Visas, have been issued. Refusal by the UK Border Agency of entry into the UK, making it impossible for a student to attend a course, will constitute cancellation and result in loss of deposit.
All persons present at the venue must have paid to attend the course; this includes parents, guardians, carers and chaperones.
Any allergies must be declared at time of booking: this applies to all courses. It is important for you to advise us at the time of booking if you have an allergy to nuts. Whilst every effort will be made to exclude any nuts from dishes prepared in our kitchen, we cannot guarantee a totally nut-free environment. This is due to possible cross-contamination.
Unless specifically agreed and confirmed in writing, no variations of the course start and finish times may be made. These times will include a one-hour lunch break. Please ensure that you leave adequate time for your journey to us. All courses finish at 17.00hrs.
All courses commence at 10.00hrs. If the student desires a later start due to travel arrangements this MUST be agreed beforehand with the course tutor.
If a student is travelling on the day of study we would ask that they inform us of any delays that will affect their arrival time. In the event of a delay due to traffic or transport problem, we will endeavour to keep to, and present, the whole programme. However, we reserve the right to shorten the course if the (late) start time means the course would end after 6pm.
Where light lunch is offered as part of the course, this will comprise sandwiches with either a cheese or fish filling and fresh fruit.
Books and other reference material may only be used during course hours and may not be removed from the building.
Only still photographs may be taken; video recording is not permitted.
Students will agree to being photographed during their course, but may request that their image is not used on the website.
The visit to the local tea-room and the shopping trip mentioned within the Course 1 Description will constitute part of the 30 hours tuition time allocated to the course.
